Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Amazon-funded tuition, accommodation, and additional academic costs, applicants must be South African citizens pursuing a degree in:

• Computer Science
• Computer Engineering
• Software Engineering
• Artificial Intelligence
• Machine Learning

×ãÇò¾º²ÊappÅÅÃûs must be entering their final undergraduate year in 2027 (3rd year of a 3-year degree or 4th year of a 4-year degree), planning to continue to Honours (NQF Level 8) in 2028 and expected to complete academic studies by the end of 2028.

×ãÇò¾º²ÊappÅÅÃûs must be available to commence full-time employment with Amazon in Jan 2029 if offered a permanent role.

Other eligibility criteria include:

• Academic average of 65% or above
• Demonstrated coding ability in a programming language such as Java, C, C#, C++, or Python
• Strong interest in software development
• Available for a paid summer internship (2027)

×ãÇò¾º²ÊappÅÅÃû Note:

Successful interns will be assessed for potential conversion into a full-time Software Development Engineer (SDE) role with Amazon upon completion of their studies.

Tronox is offering bursary opportunities to top-performing students enrolled for their 1st year in 2026 with a University/University of Technology.

The bursary will be awarded within the following fields of study:

• National Diploma/ BSc Information Technology
• BSc Geology
