Committed to growing a sustainable knowledge pipeline, Bowman, a Fulbright alumnus serves as the Head of Postgraduate Strategy in the University's Research and Innovation Office. Prior to this appointment (2017 – 2021), he was the Assistant Dean for Research in the Faculty of Humanities. As a professor in the School of Human and Community Development his primary research focuses on the causes, correlates, consequences and situational dimensions of violence. Much of this research has translated into shift in the regulation of firearms and alcohol in South Africa. As part of interdisciplinary collaborations in the US and Netherlands, his current work focuses on theorising escalation, de-escalation and other trajectories of violence drawing on real-time recordings of violent enactments in situ.
Prof. Jill Bradbury

Jill Bradbury is Director of Postgraduate Curriculum Development in the Wits Research and Innovation Office. She has previously served as the Assistant Dean, Teaching and Learning in the Faculty of Humanities (2010 – 2014) and Deputy Head of the School of Human and Community Development (2022). She is an Associate Professor of Psychology and Principal Investigator on the NEST (Narrative Enquiry for Social Transformation) research project. Her research focuses on intergenerational narratives, socio-historical theories of personhood, the transformation of higher education, and the (im)possibilities of individual and social change.

Dr Yolanda Davids holds PhD in Business Management from North-West University and a Masters in Commerce from the University of Johannesburg. Presently, she holds the position of Deputy Director of Research Development at the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS). In her role, she supervises both pre and post-award activities, with a specific focus on managing Postgraduate Funding (PG). She spent 12 years at the National Research Foundation, including 6 years as the Grants Director, where she effectively managed the 足球竞彩app排名 Support portfolio, overseeing funding for both postgraduate and postdoctoral programmes. She is not only dedicated to her professional pursuits but is also passionate about fostering academic growth and development within the research community.

Mr Katlego Khoetha is currently studying for master’s degree at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) and his research focuses on the adoption of digital platforms for student services within Wits. Presently he holds a BCom IT degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management which he completed through Wits Business School. He is internationally certified as TOGAF Business architect and ComTia IT professional. He has a wealth of expertise in business analysis and process management. He serves on the University of the Witwatersrand e-Research and Enterprise Architecture Governance committees as evidence of his dedication to academic success. In his acting role as the Head of IT Systems in the Research Office, he oversees a dynamic landscape of postgraduate systems, streamlining postgraduate administrative processes, embracing cutting-edge technology trends and identifying key market drivers of innovation to support the Head of Postgraduate Strategy and Innovation within Wits. He is also serving on the permanent role as the Manager of Business Process and Analyst teams within the Wits ICT department.
