LINK Centre Research Associate Theko Makhoalibe serves as an Enterprise Foresight Strategist and the Emerging Tech and Innovation Lead at Alchemy Inspiration in Johannesburg. His experience as a foresight strategist and technologist spans across the mining, higher education, government and consulting sectors.

Makhoalibe holds a Bachelor's degree (2006) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, an MPhil in Future Studies (2016) from Stellenbosch University with research in exponential business futures for Africa 4IR, and an Executive MBA from Henley Business School (2020) with research in blockchain and the future of banking. His teaching foci include the fourth industrial revolution (4IR), smart cities, exponential technologies, design thinking, and advanced strategy and leadership.

Makhoalibe lectures on the LINK Centre's TPRM and CIO Practice Level 3 certificate courses, and is collaborating with the Centre in exploration of dimensions of artificial intelligence (AI) and ethics in the context of African digital transformation strategy.
