Lorraine Matanda

Lorraine Matanda is currently doing her Master of Arts in the field of ICT Policy and Regulation at the University of the Witwatersrand. Her research topic is "Youth and Tech Hub Perspectives on Digital Transformation in Environments of Poverty: A Case Study of Diepsloot". She is a member of the New and Emerging Researchers Group (NERG) of the innternational Open African Innovation Research partnership (Open AIR), a project for which LINK's Luci Abrahams and Chris Armstrong serve on the South African research team. Based in Johannesburg, Matanda works as a Communications Manager for a global company, where she is responsible for the communication strategy and implementation for 22 countries in Africa. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Solusi University in Zimbabwe, and an Honours’ degree in Marketing from the IMM Graduate School of Marketing (IMM GSM) in Johannesburg.
