LINK Research Associate Mark Burke's research focus areas include the drivers and dynamics of digital government and the frameworks, methods and measures for monitoring digital government performance and evaluating its outcomes. He is particularly interested in the impact of digital governance on inclusive economic development processes.
Burke has expertise in strategic planning; organisation design and development; programme design; and capacity development. He runs a consulting practice that works with public organisations to build their capacity.
Burke holds a Baccalaurius Procurationis (Law) and a BA Honours in Development Studies from the University of the Western Cape, and a Master's of Management (Public and Development Management), awarded with a distinction, from the Wits School of Governance. Burke is Convenor of the LINK Centre's Certificate in Frontiers in Digital Government programme.
