Wits Life Sciences Museum

A multifaceted, modern museum with research and teaching laboratories, a large herbarium, and live plants and animals in addition to the various objects traditionally associated with a natural history museum. The main display area has skeletons, models and preserved specimens in finely crafted teak cabinets. It also has tanks with live fish and other animals.

The display area is open to all members of the public. Access to the reference collections, the herbarium and guided tours are by appointment.
