- Assessment of Mentally Ill Adults and Seniors
- Treatment of Mentally Ill Adults
- Occupational Performance to Promote Mental Health and Prevent Mental Illness
The purpose of the PG Dip and MSc (Coursework) programme is to provide opportunities for students to master advanced knowledge and skills of Occupational Therapy in the field of Mental Health practice. The student will develop an advanced framework for practice by reviewing the foundations of the profession and the developments in occupational science and their relevance to current occupational therapy practice in the field of mental health. 足球竞彩app排名s will critically review the use of counselling and group work in occupational therapy and select appropriate techniques to achieve specified outcomes in their context.
Wits uses the Vona du Toit Model of Creative Ability, but students do not need to be familiar with the Model prior to entering the coursework. During this year students will complete a number of assignments, which will require access to mental healthcare users.
