Quinquennial Reviews

Quinquennial Review (QQRs) are a 5-year review process of schools and entities used by the University to reflect on how the schools can build on existing strengths, generate new strengths, and rectify any shortcomings in order to attain operation effectiveness of the school.

The focus of the QQR is on evaluating operational efficiencies in relation to school activities, governance and management, teaching, finance, research and review of centres.

The QAPO plays a coordinating role of QQRs by developing an annual QQR schedule which is approved by the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic). The schedule ensures that each school is reviewed once every five years.

The QQR report, including a summary report by the QQR reader are considered by Senate APDC for approval and recommendation to Senate. In the years following a QQR, QAPO ensures that each School submits a progress report and risk register to the QAPO for APDC and online filing.
