Futures & Anticipatory Governance
-
Focus on futures thinking
Tayarisha will include a focus on futures thinking and study as relates to governance and innovation. Underpinned by philosophical and theoretical grounding in the evolving disciplines of anticipation, the Centre will include teaching, action research and facilitation in the approaches, methods and tools of building futures literacy and anticipatory governance capabilities, strategic foresight processes and futures studies.
Affiliations with key local, regional, and global futures communities will be a key approach to expanding collective intelligence towards creating more sustainable, equitable, and humane futures.
The Centre will participate in the UNESCO Global Futures Literacy Network, and has been invited to host the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) Chair on African Innovation and Futures.
