Our mission

The 足球竞彩app排名 Transitions and Persistence Unit (STPU) is dedicated to implementing evidence-based theories and best practices in student transitions within higher education, with a focus on fostering a seamless and empowering journey for students at Wits University. Our mission is to facilitate successful transitions for diverse cohorts of students, from entry to exit, by providing comprehensive support, resources, and initiatives that promote academic achievement, personal growth, and social integration. Through strategic partnerships and innovative programmes, we aim to create an inclusive and empowering environment that equips students with the skills, resilience, and adaptability needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Activities

Design and implement mentoring programmes, GTS orientation activities, FYE workshops; Postgraduate student transitions and retention strategies, and support initiatives for achieving and at-risk students. Develop programme guidelines, training materials, and evaluation frameworks. 

Monitoring and Evaluation

Track programme participation and outcomes, conduct surveys and focus groups with students and mentors, gather feedback from stakeholders, and analyse data to assess programme effectiveness.
