The School of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of the Witwatersrand is delighted to host the Annual Conference of the Statistical Association of South Africa (SASA) between 23 and 27 November 2026. The conference will bring together statisticians from across South Africa and beyond for a vibrant, in?person gathering focused on statistical theory, multivariate analysis, biostatistics, machine learning, and related areas. Preceding the main conference, a series of insightful workshops will offer hands?on engagement and skills development, while an exciting line?up of national and international speakers will provide global perspectives on contemporary statistical research and practice. We look forward to a meaningful opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and advance the statistical community, spanning postgraduate students, early career researchers, established academics, and industry practitioners.
