Teaching and Learning

  • The SCIS’s postgraduate development programmes are aimed at developing interdisciplinary researchers in inequality studies.

    We offer a Masters of Commerce in Inequality Studies degree, a PhD fellowship programme, a Post-Doctoral Fellowship programme, and an Internship programme for Wits students.

Master of Commerce in Inequality Studies

Our MCom degree trains researchers and policy practitioners to understand inequality around the world, with a focus on the global South. Applications for January 2026 entry open on 1 May 2025 and close on 30 November 2025.
