Research area: My research focuses on the discovery and investigation of novel materials, including new superconductors, quantum materials, and applied materials, as well as novel ground states. I developed the “Novel Quantum & Applied Materials Laboratory,” the only laboratory in Africa where high-quality single crystals of quantum and applied materials can be developed and explored.

I am primarily interested in socio-ecological systems, and a big focus of our work in cities is on highlighting environmental injustice.
