Haematology PCR

The haematology PCR unit focuses on haematological molecular diagnostics, including the assessment of the JAK2 (V617F), Prothrombin (G20210A), Factor V Leiden (R506G), NPM1 and FLT3-ITD mutations, immunoglobulin G and T-cell receptor gene rearrangements, and Parvovirus B19 DNA detection. This is a public sector service, but as these are specialized tests, some private laboratories refer samples to this laboratory for testing.
