Activities

The department has been active in taking part in the outreach activities in the SOHS. We have visited schools to do oral health education and dental assessments of learners. We have also visited homes for special needs individuals.

On several occasions the department has collaborated with the department of Community Dentistry on these outreach programs. In most of these outreach activities we partner with dental companies which sponsor us with resources such as the mobile clinic and dental products.

As a department we believe that community involvement is important and we are planning to continue with these outreach activities in the future.
