Preamble
The Oral Hygiene Division offers the Bachelor of Oral Health Sciences (in the field of Oral Hygiene) programme. The course enables the students to gain clinical competency in accordance to the Scope of Practice as stipulated by the HPCSA.
The Oral Hygiene programme primarily aims to produce graduates that will prevent oral disease and promote oral health and well-being of individuals in socio-economically diverse communities. Integrated learning guides students to apply their knowledge and skills in caring for all kinds of patients. The program develops clinical techniques, management and research skills.
The Oral Hygiene Division strives to contribute to the growing research agenda within the School of Oral Health Sciences. Our team is actively involved in various research projects for academic purposes.
