Green New Eskom Digital Rally

-

Join the Climate Justice Coalition in calling for a green new Eskom at a digital rally this World Environment Day

This World Environment Day, join the Climate Justice Coalition and partners as we launch our call for a #GreenNewEskom. We are demanding a rapid and just transition to a more socially owned, renewable energy powered economy, providing clean, safe, and affordable energy for all, with no worker and community left behind in the transition. Find out more about the campaign and sign on in support here.

To protect public health, we cannot be together in person, but we will be holding an online rally and we hope you’ll join us. The online rally will feature speakers from the Climate Justice Coalition discussing the need for and vision of a Green New Eskom. We are also hoping to provide space for public involvement and maybe even some Zoom singing together.

The rally will also involve a digital handover of our demands to Eskom who will be sending their head of Risk and Sustainability Division, acting head of Corporate Affairs, and Climate Change and Sustainability Manager. Join the rally and show Eskom that you want action.

The rally will be streamed on 350.org's Facebook page. However, if you want to be part of the Zoom rally, you can register to attend over here
