Wits University shines at the MACE Excellence Awards

The University’s Advancement division delivered a standout performance, showcasing skills and excellency.
Wits has once again demonstrated its excellence in marketing, advancement and communication in education (MACE), winning an impressive 12 awards at the Annual MACE Excellence Awards.
Among the accolades were two of the highest honours of the night. Wits received the prestigious Chairperson’s Award of Excellence, presented to a single Gold or Platinum award-winning entry, and a Platinum Award, which recognises the highest-scoring entry within the Skills Division.
Both of these top awards were earned for the Wits Review, the magazine for alumni and friends, produced by the Office of Alumni Relations.
Other awards included three Gold, three Silvers, and four Bronzes for outstanding digital and editorial skills, event and campaign management, website and graphic design skills, as well as multimedia skills.

These awards, evaluated by peers nationwide, are a testament to the exceptional talent, dedication, and professionalism of the University’s Advancement division, which comprises the departments of Marketing, Communications, Alumni Relations, School Liaison Office, Development and Fundraising, and Functions and Events.
