Mechatronics Academia Industry Workshop

Professor Thokozani Majozi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment at the University of the Witwatersrand, has extended a special invitation to selected guests to participate in the Mechatronics Academia-Industry Workshop on 24 October 2025.

This workshop aims to establish enduring, high-impact partnerships between academia and industry. By working together, we can address societal and technological challenges while driving meaningful socio-economic transformation for South Africa.

Focusing on mechatronics engineering, the workshop provides a dedicated platform for developing joint solutions, harnessing complementary strengths, and advancing innovation with real-world impact. Sustained collaboration, grounded in shared priorities, is essential to ensure that academic research remains practically relevant and that industry continues to evolve and innovate.
