CORES aims to position itself as a global leader in innovative research, education, and sustainable development within economic geology, geometallurgy, geodata science, and mineral resource policy. Our mission is to advance these disciplines through research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the training of skilled professionals, thereby contributing to sustainable and responsible resource management.

  • To develop a subdomain of geosciences that bridges the gap between fundamental economic geology, extractive processes, and data-/AI that are integrated across disciplines.
  • To contribute to sustainable development and the responsible use of Earth's resources.
  • To foster intra- and cross-institutional collaboration between academia, industry, and government.
