Teaching/training

The division is accredited for training of Paediatric Nephrology Fellows with the HPCSA; six training posts are available. In addition, we are accredited as training sites with the International Paediatric Nephrology Association (IPNA). Applicants can apply for funding directly to IPNA. We have biweekly meetings with the IPNA sister programme (Nigeria).

The Division participates in the Paediatric Department Academic programme at each hospital, involved in the training and supervision of medical and nursing undergraduate and postgraduate students.
