The Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism exists to manage patients with disorder of the endocrine system, metabolic disorders and diabetes mellitus.
The Division runs a very busy outpatient clinic service at all three academic hospitals. Specialized outpatient clinics include Diabetes, Diabetes pregnancy, General Endocrinology, Thyroid, Lipid and Metabolic Bone. The Unit also participates in outreach and is involved in general medical duties as well as clinical teaching and supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. The unit holds regular combined academic meetings.
All members of the Division are also actively involved in research projects, both clinical and laboratory based, and publish regularly. They participate in all aspects of the academic and clinical programme and regularly participate in CME programmes. Members of the Division often present at both local and international Congresses.
