CCDU Mandela Day Overview
Mandela Day is about changing the world for the better, bit by bit. In the spirit of this Iconic figure who has contributed so greatly to the landscape and the peoples of South Africa and in the spirit of our humanity, Mandela Day is observed internationally on the 18th of July
WHY VOLUNTEER:

- It’s a good human QUALITY to possess to remind ourselves, that in as much as we are beautiful individuals – we are also great communities!

HOW TO VOLUNTEER
- Keep it simple – volunteering doesn’t have to be expensive ventures.
- Give of your expertise - Tap into your skills or time and simply make the effort to reach out to others.
- Get involved in a neighbourhood clean-up
- Assist at a children’s home or some NGO, Assist the needy, elderly or person with disabilities, etc
- Call somebody u think may need to hear a friendly voice – greet people around you – even if it is someone you don’t know.
- Tutor - at a school or a class mate
- Make ‘care kits’ - start a project, collect items, including a comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, face cloth, etc. for other students
- Make 'stationary packs' for under-resourced schools
