The Operations and Facilities Management Department (OFMD) delivers sustainable, customer-focused support that enables the University’s teaching, learning and research activities. OFMD is responsible for Maintenance and Operations, Energy, Utilities and GMR 2.1 Compliance, Transport and Fleet, Logistics, Warehouse and Workshop Spaces, Venue Allocation, Retail Operations, Dining Hall Catering, Wits Rural Campus, Professional Development Hub, Printing and Mailing, Stakeholder Relationship Management, Environmental Health, Call Centre, Contracts and Tenders and Finance. Guided by values of service excellence, prudent resource use, legislative compliance, collaboration, continuous staff development and ethical conduct, OFMD is committed to maintaining a safe, healthy, efficient and aesthetically pleasing campus environment.
