In 2013, CALS began hosting a series of workshops on housing rights as part of its Housing Education Programme. Facilitators led discussions with participants on property law and housing rights, as well as the role of the courts and government in protecting these rights. The workshops have since expanded to cover information on everything from water and sanitation to local governance issues and civic responsibilities. The curriculum has been developed as an accessible advocacy tool which engages and empowers the communities we assist.
