The Paediatric Collection
The Paediatric Collection is a unique cadaver based collection in the School of Anatomical Sciences, which includes approximately 280 individuals ranging in age from 17 gestational weeks to 5 years of age. The collection provides researchers with a unique opportunity to conduct cross sectional investigations of the morphological changes in the paediatric human anatomy across various stages of development and growth. In addition, the Paediatric Collection also includes a moderate number of individuals presenting with developmental abnormalities including anencephaly and hydrocephalus. Thus, this collection presents the opportunity to investigate aberrant growth patterns as well as study effects of abnormalities on the development and growth of the surrounding anatomy.
The following documentation will be required when applying for access to the collection:
- A Paediatric_Proposal Template 2018 clearly setting out the aims and methodology of the proposed study (please refer to the proposal guidelines document for assistance)
- A completed and signed Paediatric Application form 2018
- A signed Intellectual Property Agreement 2018 form
