The University of the Witwatersrand Fund, Inc. (Wits Fund) is a US-based not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits University), a leading global institution, based in Johannesburg South Africa.

 

The Wits Fund exists to empower Wits University to maintain its global excellence and transform humanity’s shared future. 

 

And it is committed to raising the global profile of Wits University and driving a deeper sense of connection between the University and its alumni, through building local alumni networks to create communities, sharing alumni accomplishments, and raising funds to support Wits’ endeavors that positively impacts South Africa and the African continent. 

Giving

The Wits Fund is dedicated to maintaining Wits University’s global standing by helping to sustain its excellent standards in teaching and research. It can do this only with the continued support of the University’s global network of alumni and friends. 

Your donation also helps Wits extend financial support and assistance to needy and academically-deserving students. These students would not be able to access tertiary education without your giving, and on graduating, to have the opportunity to find jobs and be better equipped to build a career, to be financially secure and to raise up their communities.
